November 2023 Newsletter
We continue to move forward ... with your prayer support! We can't thank you enough for the encouragement you are to us. Your uplifting support is deeply appreciated and needed!
Starting on October 21, we spent a week away to regenerate our batteries. It was time! Completing nineteen books and everything else accomplished over the last two-and-a-half months had taken its toll.
Another reason we got away was because Una and I wanted to get away early to celebrate our Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary which will be on November 2. We have an awesome relationship that the Lord continues to bless!
Prayer for my schedule and stamina was deeply appreciated as I taught the Adult Auditorium class during the first three Sundays of October. I feared my legs might not hold up, but there wasn't a problem. THANK YOU!
We are back from our vacation and ready to finish out the year in a very positive fashion. We are gearing up for 2024. What are your plans for next year?
October provided opportunities for us to help numerous ministries by donating financial help for tracts. Families needed our help this month. Plus, take note of MORE EXCITING NEWS for Faithful Life Publishers below. God is so good.
NOVEMBER brings about a nice time of year. There is so much to be thankful for. If you need prayer for something during November, you can always contact us.
Two people that we are close to need our prayers. Our pastor's wife, Debbie Seaman is having knee replacement surgery. Paul Vineyard, one of our long time board members is having triple by-pass open heart surgery. Both surgeries are taking place this morning, November 1st.

We enjoy creating brand-new graphic designs for ministries that do not have skilled members who can help them. We donate our time and talent to assist. We did this for TWO churches in October.
A family lost their young daughter. She had a marvelous testimony for the Lord. The family asked us to design a tract to magnify the Lord through her testimony. They wrote a note of thanks that you will see in Reader's Comments. Along with their note, they also provided a love gift to our ministry. We constantly remain humbled by the Lord's provision.
We financially assisted a church that ordered 5,000 Spanish tracts going to Carolina, Puerto Rico. The shipping alone was over $200. This is possible because of your support and prayer.
Another ministry received financial assistance from us to purchase tracts.

... those who needed help with their graphic arts programs, especially Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. We can also assist with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint programs. By the way, we only use PC programs in our work. This is a monthly occurrence.
... every person with a printing project. We critique each job and always look for ways we can improve their print projects. If we find an issue, we will correct the customer's print project rather than return it (if possible). We make sure each print job is the right size (if the print goes to the edge, we make sure they added .125 inches, making a 4 x 6 job, 4.125 x 6.125) for bleed; move text when it is too close to the edge; and we change files if they were not submitted as RGB, instead of CMYK. The list of technical help goes on to ensure that each customer receives the best print job possible. We invest much time and effort into this and don't charge extra. Why? Because it is part of our ministry.
... any church or person that needs new tracts or Little Messages. We will place their contact information on them without charge.
... previous customers who need changes made to their last print job. We provide those changes for free.

A Culture Going Mad
Societal Issues That Threaten the Survival of Western Culture
In this small volume, the author focuses on some of the dangerous major issues that are occurring in our Western culture and societies of this present age. These issues are evil and dangerous. They diametrically oppose the values and morals of not only common sense but of the traditions and values of the Judeo-Christian faith upon which the Western culture is based.
The theme of this book seeks to show the falseness and the insanity of their behavioral beliefs and practices, which if continued to grow will result in the loss of freedoms, chaos, and destruction of American culture as we know it, as well upon other democratic societies of the Western culture. Language is revised, words are perverted or prevented, freedom of thought and speech is denied, and perverted beliefs and behavior are promoted.
By focusing the light of God's Word, which is the ultimate 'Truth' itself, upon these sinister issues that plague us (and America especially), they are exposed as being antithesis to common sense--violently crippling to our freedoms, seeking to bring down Western culture and replace it with disastrous tyrannical controls. This book should help Christians and anyone concerned about the adverse political and societal changes in America and the world today. They need to understand what is happening and perhaps even assist our leaders who are in a position to forestall these evils that threaten us.
Day by Day Along the Way by Jay E. Adams
I have been hired to design their covers and prepare most of their book interiors for the last few years. They are available through their website, Institute for Nouthetic Studies | Biblical Counseling
For Such a Time as This
God's Purpose for Suffering.
FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS is the autobiography of a young pastor who had a devastatingly harrowing experience that adversely affected his life. An exuberant young man who was called by Christ and lived all his life serving God, he once thought he had everything under control until he came under the hands of fate, an experience he would not wish for his enemy.
Justin was involved in a terrible accident in which he lost his left leg and had to stay in hospital for over a year battling infection alongside having to contend with what relevance his life from now on will have and also certain judgmental comments from some close associates.
Even then, this book is about God's unsearchable mercies and love. It is a story of the love of God towards the author, the love of his newly married wife and the brethren towards him in his moment of need, and most comforting of all, the author's unshakable love for God despite all he went through. Although a harrowing experience, this work is nonetheless a ride into the world of the miraculous, where God's peace and the joy of the Holy Spirit expel bitter memories.
Persecution in the Church
Discovering the Ways Christians Hurt Others
Billy Dickson could have easily stepped away from the faith because he personally suffered hurt and rejection in the church. Instead, Billy offers Biblical solutions and hope for the church. -- Pastor Bryan Galloway, Converge Church
My name is Marcus Brown. I am the Director of Mentoring at Release Inc. We are a local non-profit agency that serves families and youth in the greater Omaha area through a number of impacting programs.
Billy Dickson has been a faithful mentor in our mentoring program, mentoring several youths and always showing kindness, consistency, love, and compassion toward each youth’s struggles and journeys. It is mentors like Billy that have allowed this program to continue to be so impactful in our community.
We need Christian men who are not afraid to stand on biblical truths and Christian standards and who are not afraid to share the gospel with the youth of today, our next generation. It is a pleasure to support Billy in his book and endorse his efforts in our mentoring program. -- Marcus Brown
Billy Dickson is a one-of-a-kind person (which is why I enjoy him), so it is not unusual that his latest book fits that same description. This book is his story of how several different churches he was a part of became uncomfortable when he didn’t fit the mold of everyone else in the church. As a result, they left him with no place to minister to them. This book not only tells that part of his story but also includes some of his thoughts as to how the church could improve. Billy knew becoming bitter was an option, but not the path he wanted to follow. Hopefully, this book will cause you to think about your own experience in the body of Christ. -- Dale Frimodt, A fellow traveler in Christ’s journey
Getting It Right
Interpreting the Bible should involve more than just repeating the popular understanding of a passage. Just because certain verses are printed on Christian gifts and passionately proclaimed by well-known Bible teachers does not mean their interpretation of those texts is correct.
Seasoned pastor and theologian, Dr. Bob Payne encourages the Bible student to dig into the Biblical text for himself, using the rules of context, history, and grammar to come to an accurate and precise meaning. He warns the reader of modern influences that lure the Christian away from a normal interpretation of the text and then deals with specific Old and New Testament passages that are commonly misinterpreted.
Whether you are a seasoned pastor or a young believer interested in a deeper understanding of God’s Word, Getting It Right is a vital book for our confusing age.

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
We can't tell you how much these two verses have come to mean to us. The verses help us to focus properly on the work that God has called us to do. Thanks for your prayer support to assist us in laying up treasures in heaven.

HOPE FOR BRAZIL MINISTRIES – "The Ice Boat Ministry"
On Saturday, August 26, the ministry team in Manaus hosted a Baptismal Service. Several who have made decisions for Christ through the Soup Outreach, our Meals for Children ministry, and the Bible & Ball night have been discipled and are ready to take the next step in their faith by being baptized.
This past weekend our team in Santarem set out for the August Convoy of Hope event to the village of Muru Murutuba, where they ministered to about 80 people. Join us in giving thanks for the 16 individuals who prayed to receive Christ as their personal Savior and the many who were helped and encouraged through the team's efforts!
SEA HOPE
Puerto Rico: We busied ourselves getting SEA HOPE ready for one of our most ambitious trips yet. The trip centered around carrying a 9-person team from Medical Missions Outreach and 11 crew members, six of whom were on their first trip aboard SEA HOPE. In addition, we carried around 17,000 pounds of food, about 2,000 pounds of hospital supplies, and 250 folding chairs. While in port, we also replaced about 20 missing boards on the pier. The medical team saw 815 patients, and 70 salvation decisions were made. We praise the Lord for those who met the Great Physician. As the medical team prepared to depart the ship, MMO Missions Director Robbie Ellis stated, "We started as two different teams but ended up as one serving together for the cause of Christ.” All I can say is Hallelujah, Praise the Lord.
BECA PAPE: Second-Generation Missionary
Beca has reached 83% support this month! It is so exciting watching God move and answer her prayers! She is currently planning on leaving for the field in January of 2024.
In Beca's newsletter, she wrote: September was a whirlwind as I had the opportunity to take my survey trip. I had the opportunity to visit 9 missionary families and 4 Deaf works. I had several different ministry opportunities on this trip, I got to teach Sunday school in Portuguese for the first time, sing specials, give my testimony in sign language and in Portuguese, as well as share the gospel several times. God greatly blessed my trip, I look forward to arriving and serving in Brazil full-time. While in Brazil, I took time to pray about what my future would hold. God revealed several things to me on this trip, and I returned with much to think and pray about. I came back from Brazil and jumped right back into a full schedule of meetings and am spending some time up in New England and Canada over the next few weeks.
I would love to see her financial support needs raised by the end of the year. Will you help?
Thank You
